The Moody’s Financial Controls Office is an exciting newly formed team within Moody's Shared Services. The team is responsible for global oversight; execution and documentation of specific SOX control testing that mitigate risk within Moody’s Financial Systems. This position is part of the Global Financial Control Office and will be required to participate on all assigned project related tasks while supporting internal audit requests


Scope and Impact:
  • Develop and maintain strong clientele relationships while keeping them informed and engaged throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Development/Application Managers,Technical Architects, Quality Assurance Managers and others to ensure effective cross-project communication and issue management
  • Support Business Requirement activities by providing end-to-end analysis for product and initiatives with respect to data requirements, data flows, data modeling, workflow context and design and user interface designs within and across Moody’s systems

Job Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of Moody’s business processes and strategies, IT capabilities and capacity, and filtering and prioritizing by customer demand and business impact
  • Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall, RUP, and/or Agile) and industry best practices
  • Ability to remain self-directed, adaptable, flexible in order to adjust priorities and goals in changing environments

Decision-Making Authority:
  • Author thorough, high-quality documentation of all aspects of the systems, including business requirements, use cases, and Business System Concept documents
  • Assist in managing technical appropriateness and/or feasibility of requirements and designs
  • Obtain signoff and manage requirements change
  • Facilitate the development of business cases to support investment

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent; Masters preferred
  • 8 years’ experience in systems development, including development project management, business analysis, UI design, information architecture, and data modeling.
  • Experience with business process engineering, organization change management, cost-benefit analyses, data modeling, normalization, and SQL queries
  • Experience with agile is a must

  • Consulting and/or previous Financial Services experience
