The Role
The Quantitative Services Group is a fast-growing, hands-on development and operations team responsible for algorithmic analytics, data management and process improvement. The group conceives, designs, implements, and operates algorithms to produce unique client facing data sets. The team also engineers tools and processes to achieve leaps forward in productivity and quality.

The Senior Quantitative Engineer fulfills a crucial role in the development and operation of data products, production processes, and infrastructure within the Quantitative Research Group. She/He will contribute substantially in defining, designing, and implementing advanced data analytics, algorithms, and processing techniques to supply clients with distinctive, high-quality data efficiently. She/He will be expected to be a thought leader within the line of business on data analytics and processing. In that capacity, she/he will collaborate across teams to and levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing innovative data products from large data sets.
  • Design and implementation of data processing operations.
  • Identifying opportunities and executing programmatic solutions to improve productivity.
  • Applying analytical skills for interpreting business functions, understanding functional requirements, and researching and resolving system problems.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of standards and best practices.






Qualifications

Required

Minimum education and work experience required for this position include:
  • Advanced degree (M.S. or PhD) in a highly quantitative field – Engineering, mathematics, economics, computer science, physical sciences, or other related majors
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong expertise in applied mathematics and numerical methods required
  • Numerical programming skills required – R, Julia, and/or Python
