The Role

As a key member of the Geographic Management in LATAM, the Senior Strategy & Business Analyst will be afforded unique visibility into LATAM strategies cutting across MIS’s lines of business and have the opportunity to contribute to their execution and success in a dynamic office environment. In this newly created role, responsibilities will vary, but, in general, will include the research, analysis and conceptualization of a wide range of issues critical to the MIS LATAM franchise, as well as for participating in strategic planning, managing projects, drafting analytical work, producing presentations for senior management, and representing Geographic Management to internal constituents in the furtherance of MIS objectives.

Key Responsibilities

· Engage in conceptualizing about regional strategies and management structures

· Articulate how to operationalize business concepts into practical and concrete tactics, practices and/or solutions

· Strengthen relationships across MIS Lines of Business (LOBs) and Shared Services by engaging staff at all levels to establish credibility, working in concert on common issues, building consensus and achieving shared objectives

· Enable senior-level decision-making by effectively analyzing business drivers and constraints, and generate creative solutions to exploit opportunities

· Prepare informational and background briefings (both oral and written) on strategic and operational business issues

Scope, plan and lead strategic and operational projects of various scale
Geographic Management provides coordinated, cohesive and focused geographic leadership in MIS’s global LOB construct to inform, provide input and better execute strategies across the regions in which MIS operates. In collaboration with the Commercial Group, Global Operations and the ratings LOBs, Geographic Management coordinates, provides oversight and reports on the execution of MIS and relevant Shared Services strategies across MIS geographies and provides leadership of cross-LOB geographic initiatives, such as adjustment to regulatory changes, expansion and redefinition of MIS’s geographic footprint and activities. This also includes: i) representing MIS with regulatory bodies and other key stakeholders; ii) coordinating budgeting and planning for MIS non-US operations; and iii) coordinating with Corporate Development on execution of affiliate strategy in the regions.

Experience/Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree required, Masters in International Relations, Masters in Business Administration or Finance or related field preferred

· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the financial services industry

· Demonstrated familiarity with business concepts, with prior work or academic experience in finance, accounting, economics, marketing and/or organizational behavior

· Experience in working with financial statements

· Strong analytical skills, evidenced through work experience, coursework and/or extracurricular involvementUndergraduate degreeequired.

· Work experience leading projects and/or process improvements

· Management consulting experience a plus
