Associate Financial Engineer (Cash Flow Modeling) - New York - 11080BR

Role/Responsibilities:

As part of our analytic team you'll build and develop complex, cash flow models using our fixed income software. In particular you will be tasked with creating and supporting our RMBS Cash Flow models within Moody's Investors Service. Your focus will be working on our RMBS waterfall library, used within various ratings groups, which will require a detailed understanding of the models, data and technology.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Finance. Master's Degree in Financial Engineering is a plus

• 1-2 years working experience, preferably in finance industry

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple projects

• Ability to comprehend, interpret and analyze legal documents on complex financial structures

• Knowledge of structured finance cash flow models and data is preferred. Knowledge of RMBS cash flow modeling is a plus.

• Strong quantitative and problem solving abilities

• Proficient/expert in Excel and VBA, and other MS Office tools

• Understanding of other programming/scripting languages is a plus

• SQL experience is a plus
