HR Associate - New York - 10713BR

The HR Associate will report to the Regional Head of Talent Acquisition, and is responsible for providing support to the recruiting team to execute recruiting regional strategies that strengthen organizational capabilities to ensure business leaders have the talent to successfully achieve business objectives.
This position is a key client service role responsible for partnering directly with recruiters, internal and external clients in a professional, diligent and courteous manner. The HR Associate ensures the timely and accurate scheduling, coordination, and processing of applicants / candidates. This role is also responsible for handling and directing calls from both internal and external clients related to recruitment. The HR Associate also participates and works on special projects and audits and ensures compliance with company and employment policies regarding hiring practices.

Recruitment
  • Schedule interviews as directed by in-house recruiters
  • Co-ordinate interview process and communicate interview details to candidates and interviewers, making certain they have all of the information necessary
  • Ensure timely and accurate input and update of applicant data in recruiting database to maintain candidate status and data integrity
  • Ensure that all communication with internal and external applicants is professional
  • Partner with recruiter(s) to ensure integration of recruiting processes and provides recruiting services in alignment with business need
  • Ensures that all internal / external visitors and candidates are greeted and directed in a professional courteous and timely manner

Projects and Process
  • Support Recruiting Operations manager with various tasks as assigned
  • Act as the first level for feedback and changes for the regional recruiting team
  • Develop reports and presentations for the Regional Head of Recruiting, either by leveraging off global recruiting information or creating reports from data available locally
  • Execute recruiting projects for the region
  • Perform basic regional reporting into number of fills, opens, and year over year analysis
  • Perform regional audits including offer letters and bonuses, and identify findings for remediation
  • Responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative service to the recruiters on ad hoc projects (for example, internships program, including organizing events and liaising with internal and external contacts)

Social Media / Talent Community
Work with designated TA team members overseeing ‘social media’ strategy to:
  • Share relevant and approved content with Talent Community via approved platforms; ensure a pipeline of material
  • Deliver talent community communication and engagement strategies
  • Update CRM (Candidate Relationship Management) Tool Avature with relevant information about candidates we wish to maintain in our Talent Community / Pool, which is reportable and that can be searched on by Recruiters / Sourcers for open positions

Moody’s Careers Site Maintenance
  • Review careers site regularly to ensure information, images and videos are current and remove / update anything that is not
  • Update careers site content as it relates to lines of business changes, business strategy updates and substitute updated material so that information being presented to potential candidates and employees is current and reflects Moody’s Employer Value Proposition (EVP)
  • Update relevant sections of the careers site with news about events (eg. Campus hiring events or Diversity Open House events), ERG events or relevant industry awards that may be of interest to the external market and enhance Moody’s brand presence / EVP awareness in the external market
  • Link careers site material and initiatives to social media to ensure we maximise brand impact through all channels in a consistent and coherent manner

Diversity Recruiting Program Management
  • Assist VP, Diversity Recruiting Strategist in planning and/or participation in events, conferences and programs with a focus on pipelining and hiring diverse talent such as:
  • Diversity Open House
  • Moody’s Analytics Technology Rotation (MATR) program
  • RE-IGNITE Program (A career re-entry program)
Additional Responsibilities
  • Act as an ambassador for the HR department with both internal clients and external clients and vendors
  • Partner and maintain a professional, courteous and supportive relationship with recruiting and HR teams and with the RPO outsource team
  • Develop relationships with other departments’ associates to allow for the leveraging of support when issues need to be resolved
  • Distribute new and updated recruiting policies and procedures as required
  • Process TA team members and candidate expenses for payment
  • Provide coverage for L21 7WTC reception desk to greet candidates and help co-ordinate interview schedules, as required (coverage for lunch hours, planned / unplanned absences of Receptionist)
The Talent Acquisition function is responsible for executing the recruiting strategy aligned to business requirements and is comprised of recruiting specialists and recruiting operations teams. The function consists of Recruiters and Recruiting Operations / Administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years prior administrative experience with 1 year HR / Staffing experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to provide the highest level of customer service to all levels of internal and external customers
  • Able to demonstrate extensive administration experience, ideally having supported a team of 3 or more individuals
  • Experience of working in a HR function including significant involvement in recruitment administration
Technical
  • Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel with the ability to learn additional programs as needed
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or other HRIS system preferable
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) Kenexa 2xBrassring, advantageous, along with other specialist recruitment software (eg. Candidate Relationship Management system, Linked In Recruiter and / or others)
