Marketing Manager, Marketing Operations - New York - 10446BR

The Marketing Manager, Marketing Operations, with some direction from the Senior Director, Global Marketing and Events, is responsible for project management and collaboration across multiple internal stakeholders, implementation and facilitation of scalable business processes , and the instillation of best practices and metrics.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Project/Technology Management and Reporting & Analytics:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our marketing automation system, Marketo (a lead management/email marketing software tool); monitoring, testing, enhancing and improving system performance on an ongoing basis
  • Identify and ensure projects on the marketing roadmap support business objectives
  • Effective project management and collaboration across multiple stakeholders: develop timeline and assign and agreed responsibilities; manage stakeholders to ensure all aspects, including content, marketing and follow-up, are on track; highlight issues to senior management which may impact project deliverables.
  • Manage functional and technical specifications, test plans and user acceptance tests for projects focused on automating or improving efficiencies including:
    • Lead meetings, prepare agendas and document meeting outcomes and next steps
    • Document “as is” and new data and project workflows
    • Independently identify and analyze risks/problems and recommending solutions to senior leadership
  • Conduct assessment of existing marketing reports (lead management, KPI and ROI) and research, conceive and design new reports and dashboards to showcase marketing effectiveness
    • Help to socialize reporting with marketing, sales, management, etc. Manage objections, and secure buy in, as appropriate
  • Support systems integrations between Marketo and other marketing systems including but not limited to SFDC, Cvent (an online event management tool), and SitecoreVendor Management

Email Governance:
  • Ensure technology solutionsare compliant with marketing email laws (anti-spam, etc)

Vendor Management:
  • Interface with technology vendors to share wish list and discuss product roadmap in addition to reviewing renewals, securing buy in and managing internal approvals.
  • Manage the procurement relationship for renewal processes when appropriate.

Support foundation of Marketing excellence/Training:
  • Ensure marketing processes and best practices are well documented and help to formulate a vision and strategy for addressing challenges and implementing scalable solutions.
The Operations team is part of the Global Marketing & Events team within Moody’s Analytics
  • 4-5 years in B2B marketing operations is required
  • Fundamental understanding of how marketing initiatives drive leads and impact sales
  • Experience with financial services is preferred
  • Project management experience, including experience with the large-scale rollout of applications to sales and marketing audiences; project management certifications a plus as well as familiarity with project management lifecycle processes
  • Ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, critical thinking skills and possess analytical skills,
  • A history of effective interactions with an ability to communicate business and technical concepts to diverse stakeholders at various levels of the organization is required
  • Working knowledge of processes related to marketing automation, event management, CRM, and content management platforms; preferably Marketo, Cvent and SFDC.
  • Collaborative and highly organized, detail and process oriented self–starter
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
