Skills and Competencies:
- Good understanding of key concepts and key drivers of Banking and Insurance industries is a must
- Strong accounting or statistics background (e.g., through coursework, CFA or equivalent)
- Excellent attention to details, strong analytical thinking and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Familiarity with relevant programming languages is a plus. Demonstrated curiosity about emerging technologies, particularly GenAI and an eagerness to explore their potential
- Ability to work independently and handle workflow to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English is essential. Additional fluency in one of the EU languages (French, Italian, German, Spanish) is highly preferred
Education:
- Students studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree (possible) or a Master’s Degree (preferred), in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or another quantitative field
- Availability to work for a period of 10 weeks starting from 15 June 2026
Responsibilities:
Supporting Analytical teams as needed. Examples of analytical work may include:
- Participating in case studies designed to further analytical understanding
- Working on various analytical, research, data, process related projects
- Collecting data and identify trends to support well-thought-out credit conclusions
- Preparing financial documents, charts, and presentations
- Monitoring media outlets for news regarding special projects or portfolios
- Providing analytical and research support to the rating teams
- Contributing to the creation of research publications
About the Program
The Moody’s Ratings and Research Support (RRS) internship program is a 10-week program that provides an outstanding opportunity to develop skills that are valuable to any future career in the financial services industry. This will be an internally facing role, reporting to a Team Manager. The Summer Associate will be assigned to one of the following rating groups:
- Financial Institutions Group (FIG)
Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moodys business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.
The successful Summer Intern can aspire to receive an offer to join Moody's as an Ratings Associate after they graduate.
