About the Role 
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Data Management to lead the Company Data Domain within Moody’s Data Estate. This role is a key leadership position, taking full ownership of the company data domain and ensuring data quality and operational excellence throughout the end-to-end data lifecycle. The Director will act as a regional data domain owner and subject matter expert, driving collaboration, innovation, and regulatory alignment across multiple geographies. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Data Domain Ownership 
  Take full accountability for the Company Data Domain, ensuring its strategic alignment with business objectives and Data Governance frameworks. Act as the primary decision-maker for the domain, driving its development, integration, and operational success. 

• Data Management Cycle 
  Oversee the complete data lifecycle—from the receipt of raw data from information providers, through ingestion, resolution, mastering, and publication. Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of data at all stages, while driving remediation efforts to address issues proactively. 

• Team Leadership 
  Lead and inspire a team of company data domain experts within a large corporate environment. Provide direction, mentorship, and development opportunities to build a high-performing and collaborative team across multiple geographies. 

• Regulatory Knowledge and Compliance 
  Maintain a deep understanding of regulatory requirements related to data management and ensure that all processes within the company data domain comply with these standards. Proactively address risks and ensure that data operations support Moody’s compliance obligations. 

• Operational Excellence and Innovation 
  Identify opportunities to modernize and automate data management processes, leveraging AI/ML technologies to improve scalability, efficiency, and quality. Drive continuous improvement within the company data domain to meet evolving business and customer needs. 

• Cross-Functional Collaboration 
  Partner with teams across Data Governance, Data Sourcing, and other domain leads to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of company data. Act as a key liaison to product teams and customers, ensuring that data quality and operations align with business requirements. 

Qualifications 

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Operations roles. 

• Proven leadership experience managing teams of data professionals. 

• Strong expertise in company data and master data management practices. 

• Experience  with data management platforms and driving continuous improvement. 

• Deep understanding and demonstrated experience applying AI and machine learning 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
