Skills and Competencies

 Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

  • Interest in sales, account management, or customer service; prior experience is a plus but not required
  • Willingness to learn, adapt to changes, and work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn about industry operations and acquire new knowledge quickly
  • Fluent in Japanese (native level)


Education

  • Currently enrolled in from a university program
  • Ability to work the program dates from 1 June – 7 August 2026


Responsibilities

Support commercial sales and account management for the Japan CRS team, focusing on renewal processes, customer engagement, and sales operations. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to industry best practices and internal workflows.

Function Focus & Key Duties:

  • Support the management of approximately 130 small existing accounts, focusing on retention and customer satisfaction under supervision
  • Collaborate with the direct sales manager, team members, and internal stakeholders to learn effective sales strategies and teamwork
  • Assist in forecasting deals using SalesForce.com and participate in semi-weekly calls to expand product and service reach
  • Join business reviews and customer satisfaction activities, helping to maintain strong customer relationships
  • Communicate with customers regarding sales matters, with guidance from senior staff
  • Support the renewal process in line with company approval processes and commercial policy
  • Provide sales and customer service via phone and face-to-face interactions, under supervision
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to customer inquiries, learning best practices
  • Demonstrate company core values and principles in daily interactions
  • Gain exposure to industry best practices and internal workflows
  • Develop practical skills in sales operations and customer engagement
  • Work is performed under supervision and mentorship provided by the sales manager and team
  • Duties are arranged from account management and teamwork, to forecasting, customer engagement, and process support
  • Support, collaborate, assist, join, communicate, provide, respond, demonstrate

Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June – August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students.
