Skills and competencies

•            Strong data analysis and KPI design skills, with advanced Excel and experience in BI/dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

•            Hands-on experience with automation platforms, workflow tools, and system-based controls, including AI automation tools (Copilot Studio, Power Automate, n8n)

•            Ability to build AI-driven dashboards and automated reporting pipelines, with solid Python coding, database, and data extraction experience.

•            Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong interest in AI, RPA, and advanced data analytics.

Qualifications

•            Master’s degree in Business, Operations, Technology, or related field or Bachelor’s degree with additional relevant experience.

•            Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred.

•            Risk or audit certifications are optional (not core).

Role and responsibilities

The AVP – Operational Governance (Automation & Controls) is a senior role responsible for embedding governance into Commercial Operations through technology, automation, and advanced analytics. This role focuses on building scalable, system-driven controls, reducing manual oversight, and enabling real-time visibility into operational performance and risk indicators.

Collaborate with Process Owners, Data, Tech, Product, and Operations to deliver automation-led controls, digital monitoring, and KPI-driven dashboards, ensuring governance is proactive, efficient, and business enabling.

•            Lead automation-led governance, embedding preventive and real-time controls into workflows, systems, and data pipelines.

•            Drive standardization and digitization of governance processes across Commercial Operations.

•            Act as a strategic bridge between Operations, Technology, and Data, translating governance needs into scalable technical solutions.

•            Own data-driven dashboards, KPIs, and control health metrics, shifting reporting to self-service, insight-led views.

•            Enable governance that supports business growth, ensuring audit readiness, regulatory alignment, and transparency through automation.

•            Apply process excellence (Lean, Six Sigma, agile) to simplify, automate, and optimize end-to-end operations.

•            Partner cross-functionally to deliver workflow, control automation, and GenAI initiatives, removing execution bottlenecks.

•            Influence senior stakeholders and mentor teams, driving a digital-first, continuous improvement culture in a matrixed environment.

The AVP Operational Controls, part of the Operational Governance team, supports the Commercial Operation Governance lead.
