Skills and Competencies

  • Proven experience in sales, renewals, or customer success within the financial services industry is required to manage client portfolios and drive revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage renewals and lead complex sales cycles to a successful closure using consultative selling techniques.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry and customer business drivers is necessary to assess client needs and recommend strategic solutions.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) in English are essential for interacting with senior client stakeholders and delivering detailed product overviews.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to meet sales goals.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional Indian languages is a strong advantage.

Education

  • An undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) is required, preferably in business, economics, finance, marketing, or a related field.
  • Requires more than 5 years of experience in a sales, renewals, or customer success role.

Responsibilities

  • This role manages a portfolio of existing clients in India to drive renewals, revenue growth, and long-term strategic relationships.
  • Develop and execute account and renewal strategies to meet or exceed annual sales targets.
  • Manage the end-to-end client renewal process, including negotiating commercial terms, preparing proposals, and executing contracts.
  • Identify and generate upsell and cross-sell opportunities by assessing client needs and introducing new products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Product Specialists, and Customer Success, to develop new opportunities and ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships by serving as a functional and market expert and providing strategic guidance.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and account health reviews to management.
  • Represent Moody's at client meetings and industry events to strengthen relationships and promote our brand.
  • This position requires travel (approximately 20-30%).

Our Sales team is responsible for nurturing and growing our existing client base in India. We contribute to Moody's success by driving revenue growth through contract renewals, identifying new business opportunities within our portfolio, and ensuring long-term client satisfaction and loyalty.
