Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in advanced modeling techniques and complex cash flow analysis.
  • Proven credit experience in relevant sectors would be a plus, such as banking, corporate finance, or investment.
  • Strong foundation in economics and finance, with practical application to credit risk assessment.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills in Spanish, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree required with minimum 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Graduate/second level degree (Masters, MBA) preferred.
  • Progress towards completion of CFA program would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis and research on a portfolio of complex and high-profile credit exposures, under the guidance of lead analysts.
  • Take ownership of monitoring and surveillance activities for assigned portfolios, with a focus on structured finance, sub-sovereigns, and related sectors.
  • Contribute to research initiatives exploring credit trends and developments in domestic markets.
  • Preparing financial spreadsheets and charts, analyzing data and financial statements, building and updating financial models and forecasts, and writing analytical commentary in accordance with Moody’s methodologies.
  • Identify data trends and apply sound judgment and analytical skills to support credit conclusions.
  • Utilize quantitative and statistical models to enhance credit analysis.
  • Integrate fundamental analysis with qualitative data review to provide a comprehensive credit assessment.
  • Conduct qualitative reviews of debt indentures and related documentation.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Moody’s Local methodologies and apply them effectively in credit analysis.
  • Interpret financial and macroeconomic data to perform preliminary credit assessments.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and identify key factors that affect credit ratings under the guidance of lead analysts.


About the team

Join a dynamic and collaborative team at Moody’s as an Associate Credit Analyst/ML, where you’ll play a key role in supporting Moody’s Local operations in Argentina and Uruguay. This position centers on analyzing market data and preparing analytical materials, with a strong emphasis on financial analysis across public finance, structured finance transactions, and other related topics in domestic markets. 

As part of the team, you’ll work closely with lead analysts, gaining hands-on experience and developing valuable skills in the financial services industry.
