Skills and Competencies
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in building scalable, high-performance web applications
- 5+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing software engineering teams
- Strong proficiency in Typescript, Spring Java, Nest.js, Python, and LLM Agentic technologies
- Experience implementing web-enabled applications using Angular, HTML5, JSON, REST, CSS, and Tailwind
- Familiarity with architecture styles and APIs including REST and RPC, along with design patterns such as Model-View-Controller (MVC)
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred: Experience with AWS and Azure, Postgres, AWS DocDB, vector-based stores, and developing agentic systems using platforms such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, or related frameworks; understanding of Corporate, Banking, Insurance, and Sovereign Ratings methodologies
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Typescript, Spring Java, Nest.js, Python, and LLM Agentic technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle from concept through deployment
- Lead and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and upgrade existing systems to improve performance and reliability
- Mentor and guide software engineers to foster technical growth and team effectiveness
- Document development phases and ensure systems align with user needs and business objectives
- Support the adoption of modern engineering practices, tools, frameworks, and scalable architectures
About the Team
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $168,700.00 - $244,600.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
