Skills and Competencies
Must have:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Have basic knowledge in finance industry
Proficiency in Excel and SQL
Basic programming skills
Preferred:
Advanced SQL expertise
Structured finance industry knowledge
Familiar with a programming language such as VBA, Python, C++, C# etc.
Education
Students studying towards a Degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related fields
Graduation date of December 2025 - June 2026
Ability to work during program dates: June 2nd - August 8th 2025
Responsibilities
We’re looking for a talent to help us on solving varies data related tasks, including:
- Monitor abnormal metrics in financial reports, and then analyze the possible reason and perform further verification
- Generate monitoring report in order to improve financial data quality. The report will have more focus on business logic, such as reasonable pricing and valuation.
- Set up new structure and workflow for capturing data points from varies sources. This would involve using internal software and preferably familiar with C# etc.
About the Team & Program
We’re content production team specialized in CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligations). We model cash flow waterfalls based on legal documentation, which is then used for cashflow projection. We also maintain, update, and consolidate data from varies reports, which feeds into cashflow models and providing the base of generating valuations for clients.
Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June - August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly rate for this position is $35.
