Skills and Competencies
- Experience in credit/financial data analysis and interpretation (2+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of structured finance and capital markets.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on complex deliverables and collaboratively within a team.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; advanced interpersonal skills.
- Initiative in leading projects or process improvements.
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting.
- CFA/FRM preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs data, analytical, and research services supporting credit analysis for structured finance ratings.
- Analyze financial data to support ratings, research, and analytical outreach.
- Independently manage complex deliverables, such as primary loan-by-loan pools and covered bond tasks.
- Prepare detailed credit opinions and apply Moody’s standards to data inputs for ratings and research.
- Scrub and validate complex data for use in research and ratings.
- Review and interpret financial reports, official statements, and issuer performance documents.
- Collaborate with ratings and support analysts to understand data requirements and adjustments.
- Lead projects or process improvements as needed.
- Review work of junior team members for straightforward tasks.
