We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of our public sector-focused events portfolio. - Execute an events strategy aligned with organizational goals and public sector trends.
- Oversee end-to-end event planning of both third-party sponsorship and hosted events, including venue selection, logistics, speaker coordination and vendor management.
- Secure sponsorships and partnerships to enhance event reach and impact.
- Ensure events are executed on time, within budget and meet quality standards.
- Identify key themes, topics and stakeholders to ensure relevance and value for public sector audiences.
- Adapt event formats (e.g. in-person, virtual) to suit regional preferences and logistical realities.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key public sector stakeholders, including government agencies, policymakers, industry partners and event organisers.
- Collaborate with internal teams and build relationships with key stakeholders within the government segment.
- Ensure effective communication with partners and attendees across different countries and regions.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Track event performance metrics, including lead generation, attendance, engagement, and ROI.
- Use AI-powered analytics tools to derive actionable insights and recommendations for future events.
Experience and Education
- 5+ years of experience in end-to-end event management, ideally with a focus on public sector or B2B audiences.
- Knowledge of government technology trends and policy frameworks for Europe/ UK & Africa.
- Experience working with, and building, strong stakeholder relationships and engagement strategies.
- Experience using AI-driven platforms and tools to enhance the event management processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Fluency in a European language (in addition to English) would be an advantage, though not essential.
- Travel within Europe and Africa for on-site event management may be required, as well as occasional weekend and outside of normal business hours work.
