We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts targeting government clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, particularly within the government sector, and will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth within the government sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders, including central and local government agencies, regulatory bodies, and public sector organizations.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including government tenders and contracts, to expand the company's presence in the government market.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Extend the sales team by hiring external candidates to support the growth and expansion plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management, with a focus on government clients.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the government sector.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with government clients in the technology or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of public sector budgeting and funding processes.
  • Familiarity with government contracting vehicles and frameworks.
