Job Description: Senior Solution Executive

A Solution Executive plays a crucial role in driving the pre-sales function for the Corporate segment, designed to help our customers decode risk and unlock opportunity. Solutions Executives are responsible for understanding client workflows and aligning Moody’s solutions to meet their needs, in addition to demonstrating and showing the value of Moody’s solutions through proof-of-concepts, demos and evaluations. This position requires a deep understanding of Moody’s extensive product offerings and the specific business concerns facing our clients. The role involves direct engagement with clients, product teams, and sales teams, requiring a blend of technical proficiency, business acumen, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Pre-Sales Evaluation/Workflow Alignment:

  • Support sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to drive the pre-sales process from qualification to solution alignment.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of client workflows, processes, and business requirements to identify pain points and areas for improvement including customer meetings and gathering sample data.
  • Map Moody's solutions to client needs, ensuring a deep understanding of how Moody's products can address specific business challenges, while demonstrating subject matter expertise.
  • Develop custom solutions where necessary, leveraging Moody's product portfolio of data assets and software solutions to meet unique client requirements.
  • Demonstrate the value of Moody’s solutions through product demos, proof-of-concepts, trial evaluations and data analysis.

2.Product Connectivity:

  • Ensure seamless integration and connectivity between Moody’s products to create a cohesive user experience for clients.
  • Work closely with product and technical teams to understand the architecture and capabilities of Moody’s offerings, facilitating effective solution design.
  • Strong understanding of software solutions typically utilized in the corporate landscape such as CRMs, ERPs, procure to pay and lead to cash solutions.

3.Feedback Loop:

  • Act as a bridge between clients and product development teams, conveying feedback and insights that can inform product enhancements and innovation.
  • Participate in product roadmap discussions, advocating for features and improvements that align with client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field a plus.
  • Customer facing experience and comfort leading sales calls.
  • Sales mentality, a commercial mindset specifically a drive to win new customers.
  • 7+ years of experience in a client-facing role within the financial services, information services, or data analytics industries, preferably with exposure to software as a service solution.
  • Proven ability to analyze business processes and workflows, with a knack for identifying efficiency improvements.
  • Experience with complex sales cycles is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical sales including data and software as a service solution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • Interest in learning or past experience with Spark, SQL, Python for API development is highly encouraged, but not required.
  • Interest in or past experience with Trade Credit, Supplier Risk, TPRM, MDM/Sales and Marketing use-cases in the corporate market.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
