The Role / Responsibilities

As part of the ‘Market & Product Strategy’ function within the Central Product Group, the role is responsible for overseeing and directing the company’s product strategy, and evaluating, prioritizing and commercializing strategic opportunities.

  • Assist the business units and their product strategy functions in assessing and formulating strategic recommendations for expanding Moody's addressable market and margin profile. This includes developing, overseeing and monitoring the execution of strategic plans in coordination with various internal teams.
  • Support development of customer segment-focused market sizing and go-to-market strategies by integrating analytics, analyzing industry trends, understanding customer requirements, and assessing the competitive / regulatory environment.
  • Define and roll out common methodologies / frameworks, analytics and taxonomy to enable alignment across the firm, especially with regards to best practices across the product and GTM strategy discipline.
  • Take an active role in assessing potential corporate acquisitions and partnerships, while advising on the future product and go-to-market strategy.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate / first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) in a business related discipline, graduate / second-level degree (e.g. MBA, Master’s) preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in product strategy / management or consulting.
  • Proven ability to synthesize research / data to inform product strategies.
  • Experience driving change also favourably considered.
  • Thorough understanding of financial markets.
  • Strategic mindset with great attention to detail.
  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills, as well as strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $168,100.00 - $243,700.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus. Moody’s also offers insurance and a discounted employee stock purchase plan for limited duration employees.
