Within the Central Product Group, the Customer Experience and Innovation team is focussed on customer experience, innovation and product development in the field of emerging technologies. We are looking for a product director to join our team and lead the development of our flagship innovation solutions.

Role Overview

As a Product Director, you will be responsible for leading the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through to launch. You will lead initiatives with high levels of uncertainty from discovery to implementation across all areas of the product. Depending on team needs and problem areas, you will work with a cross-functional team, or independently with the support of subject matter experts from engineering, UX and user research, as well as with stakeholders and end users.

You will work closely with the Head of Product and Engineering and Product Leads to build the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and will be responsible for communicating them effectively to the team and key stakeholders to implement. This will include a focus on universal GenAI solutions, which enable the broader business to innovate at speed.

This is an exceptional opportunity to innovate and contribute to Moody’s innovation journey and our success. Although this is an individual contributor role, several coaching competencies are expected to help improve and mentor the wider product team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the business to identify high-value and complex problem areas which enable the broader business, based on data and insights,
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality, high-impact solutions on time and within budget
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers and ensure those insights are at the center of our product development
  • Maintain in-depth industry and market knowledge to shape future opportunities. And identify opportunities to share this thought leadership with the business.
  • Work with Head of Product and Engineering and key stakeholders to define a strategy to launch and scale the solution.
  • Drive collaboration across technology, research and design teams to translate user needs into actionable product milestones
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive product team culture where learning and growth are prioritized.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in product development and leadership whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product development working within an innovation team to develop highly successful solutions
  • Experience with GenAI with a passion for keeping pace with industry trends and developments
  • Track record of successfully tackling complex product problems and driving outcomes
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional user experiences
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and ability to work with data and metrics.

  • Experience within the financial services industry a plus
