Reporting to the Managing Director & Head of Global Marketing, the Director of Marketing plays a critical role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our growth marketing organization. You will be a key member of the marketing team and lead a dedicated international team to establish a foundation of excellence through technical capabilities, scalable business processes, best practices and technology integration. You will collaborate closely with Sales, SDRs, Sales Operations, and our segment marketing teams to drive the success of marketing programs, campaigns and initiatives.
This role oversees and optimizes specifically all our marketing automation and digital operations, like paid media & social activities, to ensure marketing efforts are effective and aligned with business goals. This role requires strong leadership, strategic and analytical skills and a strong understanding of marketing technologies and digital strategies, including the strategic application of Generative AI. Combining hands-on marketing automation expertise with high-level strategic planning, cross-functional project management, and operational leadership, this person will enhance marketing performance, scalability, and revenue contribution.
You will play a critical role in bridging strategic thinking with operational execution — setting a clear direction while ensuring world-class delivery. Key responsibilities:
Strategic ownership
- Lead and continuously develop a team of demand generation operations professionals across marketing automation and digital marketing specifically across paid and earned channels.
- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation and operational excellence.
Planning processes and workflows
- Manage the demand execution, including establishing a common language with Marketing LT,
- Introduce innovative ways to scale through lead scoring, nurturing and recycling processes.
- Partner with segment marketing, Marketing Ops and Sales Operations to optimize integrations and data flow between Marketo, Salesforce, and other tools.
Marketing technology management
- Troubleshoot and resolve marketing technology issues, optimizing the digital ecosystem and its efficiency.
- Spearhead the adoption of AI technologies into the customer lead lifecycle to support automated decision-making, implicit lead optimization and sales handover.
- Support the personalization and optimization of hyperpersonalized customer engagement by building automated AI-driven ICPs and autobuild buying groups for the segments, by campaign and per product
Data quality and governance
Develop and build data cleansing and enrichment processes
Ensure data quality and governance by maintaining best practices in key systems, including database hygiene, enrichment, segmentation, and analysis.
· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and maintain data privacy.
Reporting, performance and impact
Contribute to marketing reporting, including DG execution dashboards to track marketing performance across the funnel, to inform budget decisions.
· Analyse marketing data, identify trends and insights, and produce reports to measure campaign performance and ROI.
Training and upskilling
· Develop training materials and provide ongoing support to ensure the marketing team effectively utilizes tools and processes from your area of expertise to contribute to the overall Sales & Marketing Enablement plans.

Financials, budget and priorities
· Oversee the allocation and the management of the marketing execution budget for your area of responsibility
· Working closely with the segment stakeholders, Marketing Operations Leader and Marketing LT, to manage the spend against the marketing budget, ensuring optimized spend for maximum impact
· Report spend back to the business
Paid media & social
· Lead a team of paid media experts to plan and execute on the company’s paid media strategy
· Lead a team of social media experts to plan and execute on the company’s organic social strategy
· Oversee the strategy and execution of the company’s social media employee advocacy programme
· Skills and Competencies:
- 15+ years of Marketing experience, including work with marketing systems, along with 10+ years of leadership experience with individual contributors and working with cross-functional teams
- Paid Marketing Proficiency: Strong understanding of paid marketing channels and strategies to maximize ROI.
- Leadership and Vision: Ability to inspire and lead a team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Strategic Thinking: Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Change Management: Experience in driving operational change and managing transformation initiatives within a marketing organization.
