Skills and Competencies
We are seeking an intern with a unique blend of skills and competencies, capable of bridging the gap between the development world and business. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in automating tests and performing sophisticated data analysis, thereby enhancing our operational efficiency and decision-making processes. Below are the specific skills and competencies we are looking for:
- Exceptional Organizational Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of work across multiple projects.
- Analytical Thinking and Precision: Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. The candidate should possess the ability to dissect complex problems and propose innovative solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: While not mandatory, familiarity with structured data formats such as XML and JSON, as well as experience with application programming interfaces (APIs), will be highly regarded. An aptitude for automating processes and testing within Excel and other data applications will also be considered a valuable asset.
- Interdisciplinary Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English, are essential. The candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating effective dialogue between development teams and business units.
- Documentation Skills: The ability to properly document processes, findings, and recommendations is critical. The candidate should be able to produce clear, comprehensive documentation that serves as a valuable resource for both technical and non-technical team members.
- Innovative Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and the capability to implement automation in testing and data analysis workflows.
Education
- Students matriculating through college, studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent qualification, or a Master’s Degree, in Computer Science, Engineer, Hardware-Software Design, Business, Economics, International Relations, or a related field.
Responsibilities
Supporting analytical teams as needed. Examples of analytical work may include:
- Deep testing of existing data products and formulating and reporting findings
- Automatization and testing on different data
- Analysis of raw company and ownership data in the context of regulatory compliance, including gap analysis
- Prepare and/or review existing documentation related to data sources and sourcing processes
- Collect data and identify trends in regulatory compliance to feed into data strategy and product development
About the team
Our team is called PC&RC (Product Content & Regulatory Compliance) and belongs to Entity Verification (formerly known as Kompany) operates a global live network to commercial registers. The products offer audit-proof company information, including documentary evidence, from primary government sources in real-time, meeting Anti-Money Laundering regulatory requirements. We provide live access to data for approximately 330 million companies from business registry sources spanning Europe, APAC, the Americas, and Africa.
You must be available from the 16th of June to the 22nd August for this internship, and this role pays 15 per hour.
