Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are required for reviewing, correcting, and validating complex entity databases.
  • Familiarity with SQL and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are required for data validation, analysis, and reporting.
  • A strong understanding of entity data (e.g., firmographics, demographics) is necessary to ensure data completeness and consistency across systems.
  • Proven ability to identify recurring data issues and contribute to process improvements is essential for enhancing data quality.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills are necessary for collaborating with team leads and data quality managers on remediation tasks.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is required to manage remediation tasks effectively in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Commerce, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Requires 1–3 years of relevant experience in a data operations, analysis, validation, or remediation role.

Responsibilities

  • This role supports the accuracy and integrity of our entity database through hands-on data remediation, enrichment, and validation.
  • Perform manual review and correction of entity data to resolve inaccuracies, duplicates, and missing information.
  • Research and validate data using internal and external sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and share insights on recurring data patterns with team leads to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to established data governance protocols and quality standards to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our entity data.
  • Collaborate with team members by participating in peer reviews and quality audits to uphold data integrity.
  • Work with the data operations team to prioritize and execute remediation tasks based on business needs.
  • Leverage tools like Excel and SQL for data validation, review, and reporting tasks.

Our Data Estate team is responsible for managing, enriching, and validating the entity data that powers Moody’s financial intelligence products. We contribute to Moody's by providing the trusted foundational data our clients rely on for risk assessment and decision-making.
