Education
- Students matriculating through college, studying towards a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, in business, economics, finance, statistics or related fields of study
- Ability to work during program dates: June 2nd - August 8th 2025
- Business proficiency in English. Any additional languages are an advantage, particularly German or Chinese
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (word, outlook, excel etc)
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for gathering and summarising Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) information and updating databases that are made available online to subscribers. You will be assigned a geographical coverage area or area of specialism where you will search and document information on foreign direct investment, including but not limited to type of investment, value of investments, number of jobs created by investment, motivation and incentive provided for investment, sources, status and dates. While the role may include client queries assigned to you by your manager, this is not a client facing role.
- Maintain and add real-time investment news into our FDI historical database via our internal software
- With the help of an aggregated news service and via primary internet research you will research, prioritise and process all news articles relating to your area/specialism
- Maintain efficiency standards by efficient individual timekeeping and following research processes
- Maintain and reduce backlog volumes by deduping and effective use of prompts

The Investment Data division is part of the commercial data business that is bringing together a vast catalogue of data to help business decision-makers assess risks and opportunities. We strive to deliver convenience and insight to our customers by eliminating the hassle of sourcing, preparing and accessing data, giving when decisions need to be made. Any analytical activity depends on reliable and accessible data, and we are proud to be a critical information resource for decision-makers around the world.
The FDI team is responsible for updating and expanding the product Orbis Crossborder Investment (OCI). The team has a presence in Manchester, UK and Heredia, Costa Rica.
Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June – August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills.
