About the Role

We're looking for a Data Scientist with a strong focus on prompt architecture and engineering to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge solutions leveraging large language models (LLMs) and other AI technologies. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing prompt engineering strategies to enhance the performance and efficiency of our AI systems.

Location: Brussels

Key Responsibilities:

• Design innovative solutions to solve real business problems, working with teams to understand their needs and identify automation opportunities.
• Design, develop, and test prompts for various LLMs and generative AI models, focusing on achieving specific outcomes and maximizing model performance.
• Develop and maintain a prompt library and framework for consistent and scalable prompt engineering across different projects.
• Conduct rigorous experiments to evaluate LLMs and prompt effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on prompt design.
• Explore and implement advanced prompt engineering techniques, including few-shot learning, chain-of-thought prompting, and retrieval augmented generation.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate optimized prompts into production systems.
• Analyze and interpret model outputs to identify potential biases, limitations, and areas for further refinement.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering research and development.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and guidelines for prompt engineering within the organization.
• Document and share your findings, insights, and best practices with the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, focusing on AI prompt engineering and architecture.
• Strong understanding of NLP concepts and techniques, with experience working with LLMs and generative AI systems such as OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, and Gemini.
• Proven experience in prompt engineering, including prompt design, optimization, and evaluation.
• Deep understanding of key prompt engineering concepts like zero-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought, and constraint setting.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
• Experience with data analysis and manipulation tools.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Superior communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to industry trends and changes.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts.
• Familiarity with different LLM APIs and deployment strategies.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
