Data Quality Associate

Skills and Competencies

- Undergraduate degree (e.g. Bachelor’s) with an emphasis in computer science, information system, financial engineering, math, programming or related quantitative field preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in internship, prior work experience or coursework

- Basic understanding of programming (e.g. Python)

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Basic database skills

- Basic knowledge of financial concepts

- Experience in working with large/complex data sets preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for working in the Data Quality team as part of the Data Estate to analyze data sets, create and maintain quality control rules

• Write and execute quality control tests
• Analyze the results of the basic tests that you have performed
• Use simple queries to create test data and analyze results
• Collect story level requirements from various sources (data teams, existing documentation, discussion meetings, emails, etc.)
• Write and maintain documentation detailing the various QC checks performed
• Communicate with developers to transfer requirements to related developers if needed.
• Communicate with stakeholders to clarify story level requirement.
• Execute basic automated tests under guidance of Test Automation team members.
