Skills and Competencies
- Academic Focus: Coursework in Corporate Finance, Risk Assessment, or Credit Analysis is highly valued
- Communication & Organization: Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Research Skills: Strong capabilities in financial and statistical research, including data interpretation and synthesis
- Technical Expertise: Solid academic foundation with advanced knowledge of accounting principles and financial modeling technique
- Tool Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
- Data Handling: Demonstrated experience in data extraction, validation, and database creation
- Language Requirement: Advanced English proficiency is essential for both written and spoken communication
Education
- Advanced active undergraduate student (Bachelor's degree) in disciplines related to Finance or Business such as but not limited to Economics, Finance, Accounting or any other similar
- Preferably have a target graduation date in 2026
Responsibilities
- Prepare materials for briefings and research reports
- Support in automating the extraction of public client information
- Prepare financial information of the issuers rated by Moody's Local
- Produce analytical summaries of quantitative information for analysts
- Support the analytical team in different projects
About the team
The team is composed of professionals based in Costa Rica and El Salvador, so we expect this position to interact effectively with colleagues across different geographies. The role will also support both junior and senior analysts in risk analysis and will be responsible for monitoring key market events. Additionally, the intern will work alongside other interns and will need to coordinate workload distribution collaboratively.
