The Role / Summary:

This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the MIS Research multimedia strategy through videos, podcasts and other media, to ensure that MIS Research output reflects and furthers our thought-leadership strategy. This person will define a multimedia framework supporting a suite of distinctive editorial segments reflecting the needs of market participants. They will also be responsible for ensuring there are robust editorial processes around multimedia assets, covering selection, production, pipeline management, quality and service.


  • Develop and implement the MIS Research multimedia framework for podcasts, videos and other multimedia platforms
  • Own the MIS Research multimedia framework strategy, ensuring active management of creation, development and lifecycle of the multimedia structure to ensure we have a structure that aligns the production of multimedia content to MIS’ thought-leadership goals.
  • Team with editorial Section Editors specifically, and Research Writers, generally, in the development of multimedia content.
  • Gather and apply customer insights, to ensure that MIS Research multimedia framework is customer-centric.
  • Partner closely with the CS&R team and Ratings groups to ensure that multimedia products support and amplify the thought leadership and profile of MIS analysts.
  • Ensure that multimedia products have distinctive brands, with aims, scope and selection criteria clearly articulated.
  • Implement and manage pitching and other editorial selection processes.
  • Own the effective and efficient delivery of the content development process, including script writing, production, editing, multi-language assets, etc.
  • Partner closely with the Moody’s Service Hub team to develop friction-free, efficient delivery of relevant aspects of the content development process.
  • Lead the development of OKRs, quality standards and governance for MIS’ multimedia framework, ensuring that these are built around MIS Research’s controls and risk framework, and that they work in concert with quality standards across MIS Research to elevate our offering.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in wider strategic discussions on MIS Research’s strategy, content model, editorial campaigns strategy and capabilities development.
  • Develop systematic frameworks to capture and channel requirements from editorial products strategy into strategic and capabilities development across Research.
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration, diversity and inclusion.


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area.
  • 8+ years editorial / journalism / multimedia experience within financial services, news organization, or business journalism.
  • Experience of developing multimedia products, pitching processes, and editorial processes.
  • Proven track-record in developing products that drive impact and engagement.
  • Strong awareness of trends in financial services thought-leadership, including the ability to anticipate future content needs of market participants.
  • Consistently displays a customer-centric mindset.
  • Subject matter expertise in financial service content, including knowledge and awareness of key trends and emerging topic areas.
  • Strong awareness of content delivery and technology trends.
  • Experienced in participating and leading high-performing teams.
  • Acts as a change agent in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Adept at building and maintaining strong relationship within and across teams.
  • Innovative and imaginative thinker, capable of challenging the status quo while getting things done and delivering good results.
  • Crisp and effective communication skills, including significant experience presenting cross-functionally and across all levels.
  • Experience working in a global regulated environment. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for credit rating agencies a plus.
