Role/Responsibility
* Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
* Lead by example through hands-on development work.
* Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across various projects.
* Actively contribute to coding tasks and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software solutions.
* Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
* Responsible for designing, coding, enhancing and testing of financial software applications to meet business process requirements in MIS Tech, primarily using Java/J2EE related tech stack
* Collaborate with business Leaders in conceptualizing new technology platforms, technical strategic decisions, products or solutions and own the technology development roadmap
* Architect and design solutions by analyzing, researching, designing, prototyping, building and reviewing projects
* Analyzing infrastructure and performance requirements for the projects
* Manages a team that designs, develops, tests, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
* Plans, schedules and directs work for a group of software managers/engineers and coordinate activities of the group to meet project deadlines and resolves conflicting demands of internal and external customers
* Responsible for owning the design/development aspects of database/ETL operations of multiple critical ratings applications in MIS Tech
* Must be able to operate effectively and collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals with wide variety of skillsets and establish a cordial/healthy relationship
* Analysis of the business and technical requirements to define and design the database/ETL service interfaces required to support the requirements
* Planning, engineering, design, implementation and managing database/ETL services for technologies in scope
* Responsible for designing, coding, enhancing and testing of financial software applications to meet business process requirements in Java/J2EE related tech stack.
* Lead software development activities throughout the product or solution development lifecycle
* Brings in innovative ideas and applies them to add value to the work.


Qualification
* Proficiency in software development life cycles like Agile and Scrum .
* Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
* Excellent leadership and management skills including: expectations and objectives management, decision-making, delegation, empowerment, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
* 12+ years of experience in software design and development, including 6+ years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of managing large scale projects with multiple teams in different geographical locations.
* Expertise in ETL tools and database management, including performance tuning and data warehousing.
* Responsible for owning the design/development aspects of database/ETL operations of multiple critical ratings applications in MIS Tech
* Must be able to operate effectively and collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals with wide variety of skillsets and establish a cordial/healthy relationship
* Analysis of the business and technical requirements to define and design the database/ETL service interfaces required to support the requirements
* Planning, engineering, design, implementation and managing database/ETL services for technologies in scope
* Hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, SQL, and other relevant technologies.
* Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Proficient in SQL and writing/understanding stored procedures, packages and PL/SQL programming in general
* At least 7 years of hands-on experience with at least one of the databases including Postgres, Oracle, Teradata, DB2, Sybase etc.
* Proficient in database performance tuning with clear understanding of indexing, partitioning, analyzing SQL plans, optimizer, hints etc.
* Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating platforms.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and manage project requirements.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple teams.
