Position Overview:

The AVP - Data Governance at Moody’s Shared Services Inc. will be responsible for managing Market Data Licenses within the Data Management & Governance department. This position requires an individual who is detail oriented, has good time management skills, and is proficient in process management.

Responsibilities:
* Manage contract lifecycle of Market Data providers
o Track and update usage details for market data services, including subscriptions, news, research, market and reference data used throughout Moody's;
o Document and track costs, as well as terms of use for Market Data related product and services
o Use and enhance inventory tools used to track sources
o Build and maintain positive supplier relationships and provide oversight of Market Data suppliers
* Supplier base rationalization and consolidation
o Evaluate business needs against existing inventory of Market Data sources and identify new data opportunities
* Reporting
o Develop metrics and reporting around data availability, ownership, quality, and other data points
o Assist technology teams in the creation and management of data models
* Communication
o Establish strong relationships with internal business partners, evaluate business/system/data requirements, define and implement strategies to support them
o Document and communicate contractual terms and conditions to internal stakeholders
o Gather feedback from users/subscribers to provide visibility into existing services that are procured by Moody’s
* Prepare quarterly and year end reports to provide transparency into spend of enterprise-wide agreements that are managed by Procurement & Sourcing
* Act as a subject matter expert in projects and seek opportunities to educate the organization on the importance of data governance

Qualifications:
* 3 - 5+ years of market data and contracts / inventory management experience
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
* Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
* Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Must be detail oriented with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
* Knowledge of MS PowerBI and other analytical tools
* Knowledge of Market Data inventory tools is a plus
