Role Overview
As an Assistant Director in the Data & Analytics team, you will lead the design and development of business intelligence solutions, data pipelines, and reporting infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform data into actionable insights that support decision-making at all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to visualize key performance indicators and business metrics.
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Develop reporting data models and datamarts to support scalable and efficient reporting solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and refine data and reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all reporting solutions.
- Leverage tools such as Databricks, dbt, Amazon Redshift, and Microsoft Fabric to manage and analyze large datasets.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in data engineering and analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in data analytics, BI development, or data engineering.
- Proven experience with Power BI and other BI tools.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or PySpark for data manipulation and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, dbt, Redshift, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks.
