We are in search of an accomplished Assistant Director of QA Engineering with a specialization in automation. With over 9 years of experience, the ideal candidate will lead our automation initiatives, including the development of sophisticated automation frameworks. Additionally, expertise in collaborating with remote development teams is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities:

1. QA Automation Leadership:

• Spearhead the QA automation strategy, leveraging 9+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and executing automated tests.
• Innovate and lead the development of advanced automation frameworks to elevate our testing capabilities.

2. Team Collaboration and Mentorship:

• Work closely with remote development teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective communication.
• Mentor and guide QA team members, sharing deep insights into automation best practices and methodologies.

3. Results Analysis and Reporting:

• Create capability for automated results to be reported to stakeholders during regression testing or other testing activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manual testers and stakeholders, to ensure a comprehensive QA approach.

4. Artifact Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and evolution of automation scripts and testing artifacts in alignment with dynamic project requirements.

5. Test Data Management:

• Utilize advanced queries to create and manage test data, ensuring its relevance and effectiveness for automated tests.

6. Automation Framework Development:

• Take a leadership role in developing and enhancing sophisticated automation framework modules, demonstrating a deep understanding of testing requirements.
• Understand integration with CI/CD platform

7. Quality Assurance Strategy:

• Define and execute a comprehensive QA automation strategy that aligns with organizational goals and industry best practices.

8. Process Optimization:

• Continuously optimize QA processes, particularly in the context of agile methodologies and remote team collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree).
• Over 9 years of QA experience with a strong emphasis on automation.
• Proven experience developing automation frameworks from the ground up.
• In-depth understanding of the SDLC and QA methodologies, including test planning.
• Expertise in collaborating with remote development teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
• Knowledge of web-based technology architecture, data structures, and RESTful APIs.
• database skills and the ability to manage test data effectively.
• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
• Critical thinking skills for a thorough analysis of system requirements and test scenarios.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in C# (.NET) and Selenium.
• Experience with BDD tools like Gherkin/Specflow.
• In-depth knowledge with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools to configure pipelines and integrating with other test tools
• Experience with JIRA and tools like Xray or any other test management tool

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript is preferred
• Experience in API Automation Testing
• Experience in Performance Testing
