Skills and Competencies

  • 8- 12+ years of experience as a designer of mobile & web interfaces
  • Skilled practitioner with expertise in the interaction and visual design, production and presentation of user interfaces that supports the needs of the customer
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills; including experience presenting to senior leadership and customers
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Figma Make, Lobable, Replit, V.0, or Cursor
  • Experience with user-centered design patterns and methodologies
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with Material UI
  • Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
  • Familiarity withTML, CSS, and frontend frameworks, such as React.js, Next,js, or Angular
  • Experience with Dovetail, Jira, Miro, etc
  • Ability to communicate abstract concepts to audiences that are not skilled in a UX discipline
  • Comfort with ambiguity, complexity, and a passion for challenges
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
  • Previous experience in financial environment preferred

 Education

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or similar required

Responsibilities

The Product Designer is a highly skilled practitioner responsible for the design and delivery of exceptional end-user experiences. They work in a collaborative fashion within a multidisciplinary environment and employs a user-centered design methodology by representing customer needs throughout the full product development cycle – often on multiple, concurrent design initiatives. They work closely with user experience team members, product strategists, and stakeholders to understand business goals and translate those goals into compelling interactive experiences – and works with developers to bring those experiences to life for customers
They contribute to the overall look and feel of interactive user interfaces across multiple products and platforms

  • Lead the interaction design of user interfaces across multiple products and platforms
  • Simplify and unify complex information into intuitive interactions, flows, charts, graphs, and other forms of visual representation
  • Employ user-centered design methods to develop user interface specifications such as use cases, site maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, and final user interface documentation.
  • Help advance our established design system and pattern library by promoting consistency, accessibility, and modern design across products
  • Participate in the definition of the user-centered design methodology
  • Design and prototype GenAI-powered features such as natural language queries, smart summaries, embedded assistants, and predictive UI patterns
  • Contribute to the creation of prototypes to validate design concepts with stakeholders and customers
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and continuously iterate based on feedback
  • Create detailed specifications of interactions and visual designs to communicate with product managers and engineers
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of developed pages to ensure adherence to specifications
