Skills and Competencies
- 4-5 years of experience in data remediation, enrichment, or data operations, including team and project management.
- Proven experience managing teams of analysts or data specialists.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
- Working knowledge of SQL and familiarity with Power BI or Tableau or QlikView for reporting and visualization.
- Exposure to Python, PySpark, and Databricks is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Specialists and Senior Data Specialists performing data remediation and enrichment tasks.
- Provide direction, feedback, and performance coaching to ensure consistent delivery and professional growth.
- Foster a team culture focused on accuracy, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee workload management, prioritize initiatives, and ensure timely project delivery.
Data Quality & Enrichment
- Supervise end-to-end processes to correct incomplete, inconsistent, or duplicate entity data.
- Ensure validated and enriched data meets defined quality standards and governance requirements.
- Utilize Excel, SQL, and, where relevant, Python within Databricks to support data validation and process tracking.
- Maintain clear documentation of remediation activities, rationale, and outcomes.
Project Management
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication for ongoing data remediation and enrichment initiatives.
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on objectives, priorities, and resources.
- Track progress against milestones and proactively identify risks or bottlenecks.
Analysis & Insights
- Identify recurring data quality issues and patterns to uncover root causes and drive process improvements.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Develop reports and visualizations in Power BI or Tableau or QlikView and presentations in PowerPoint to share insights, trends, and progress updates.
Quality Assurance
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of remediated data.
- Conduct periodic audits and collaborate with data governance teams to refine validation rules and data standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and data integrity.
- Leverage tools like Databricks, Python, and Power BI or Tableau or QlikView to streamline manual workflows and reporting.
- Stay informed about data management best practices and promote a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
