The Assistant Director within in COR Business Systems on the Reporting Operations team will lead sales reporting, including closing monthly sales figures, performing impact analysis, and support Finance and External Reporting Stakeholders. This role will lead key analytics projects. As an experienced professional in the BI & Analytics space this individual will be relied upon to provide guidance/thought leadership in the project execution delivery space and liaise between IT and Finance. This is a highly visible and impactful position. The Assistant Director is intellectually curious, engaging, and effective in a fast-paced environment. This position will primarily leverage SQL Server, SalesForce, PowerBI, Excel, and Alteryx to close sales reporting and JIRA to collaborate and track projects in line with SCRUM practices. Beyond these tools, there is the opportunity to work with DataBricks, AWS, Azure, Github, Cognos, Gainsight, and Tableau.

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver accurate, timely, and consistent sales data in line with Moody’s methodologies
  • Partner with IT to ensure data integrity and expand reporting capabilities
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to deliver on Big Rocks (top priorities)
  • Partner with Data Management on Governance initiatives
  • Lead projects and document changes to key reporting in line with SCRUM standards
  • Document business requirements for reporting requests, provide training to business users, support cases (requests), lead reporting Proof of Concepts as needed
  • Provide execution leadership to the Data Warehouse team by defining processes, guidelines, and establishing ownership and accountability
  • Collaborate with IT project management to ensure delivery timelines are consistently met and the data and report quality meets the user expectations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of reports and business strategy
  • Engage and support stakeholders and team leaders with fast, high quality impact analysis and root cause analysis
  • Maintain relationships with strong communication

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree required; 5+ years of experience in Reporting Analytics, Information Systems, or Database Administration
  • System/business analysis experience required
  • Strong English language skills required
  • Intermediate Excel required
  • Intermediate SQL required: Understanding of simple to complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures and functions
  • Knowledge of SalesForce
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Github, and SharePoint preferred
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts preferred
  • Familiarity with ETL
  • Understanding and ability to apply Software Development Life Cycle practices and methodologies in a team collaboration environment.
  • Strong background in business process analysis, requirements, design, data modeling, prototyping, and detailed functional design.
  • Individual must be organized, dependable, able to multi-task and manage priorities, display initiative, and have the ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication (verbal & written), and interpersonal skills
  • Candidate must have the ability to quickly transition as priorities change
