Workflow Engineer

The Workflow Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex business processes to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness. This position requires a combination of technical skills, business acumen, and a deep understanding of workflow systems. The workflow engineer is a subject matter expert and will work with business stakeholders to implement, create, and continuously improve process and integration with other internal business applications through JIRA service management with automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Develop and implement efficient business process workflows in line with organizational goals. This includes mapping out current processes, identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and designing optimized workflows in JIRA service management.
  • Integrations: Implement and Integrate workflow triggers from various API’s, plug-ins, and webbooks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and management, to understand their workflow needs and challenges.
  • Training and Support: Provide necessary training and support to end-users to ensure smooth adoption and operation of new workflow systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continually monitor and analyze the effectiveness of implemented workflows, making adjustments and improvements as necessary.
  • Documentation: Document all processes, updates, and changes to workflow systems and ensure these documents are easily accessible and understandable to relevant teams.


Skills:

  • Proven experience in workflow design and implementation, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in workflow software, such as JSM, PowerAutomate, Fabric
  • Experience JIRA integrations, such as plug-ins, API’s and webooks
  • Languages: JQL, Python, Java
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex workflow issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
