Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design principles and software engineering fundamentals.
Working knowledge of relational databases and data-driven application development.
Proficiency in Python or other modern programming languages; Python strongly preferred.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus.
Exposure to modern data engineering tools such as dbt, Airflow, and Jinja is advantageous.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and debugging skills with persistence in problem-solving.
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies through self-directed learning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational skills, initiative, and a positive, growth-oriented mindset.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional, and virtual teams.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Academic or project-based experience in software development is preferred.
Participation in at least one hands-on project (academic or professional) is a plus.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support software solutions for financial data management and risk analytics platforms.
Contribute to the development of analytical, data, and software products supporting Fixed Income and Commercial Real Estate solutions.
Apply object-oriented design principles to build scalable and maintainable systems.
Work with relational databases to support data storage, retrieval, and processing needs.
Collaborate closely with team members to enhance existing products and develop new capabilities.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across applications and data workflows.
Learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and tools to continuously improve product offerings.
Participate actively in team discussions, code reviews, and agile development practices.

About the Team
The CRE‑Keystone team at Moody’s Analytics operates as a core development group within one of the most dynamic areas of Fixed Income. The team supports data management, financial data, and risk analytics solutions used by global clients.
Functioning like a lean start‑up within a larger organization, the team values agility, creativity, and open communication. Engineers are encouraged to challenge existing ideas, make rapid decisions, and contribute innovative solutions while working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment focused on delivering industry‑leading analytical and software products.
