Skills and Competencies

  • Ideally with 2 years’ experience in the financial services industry in a business development, sales support or client relationship role .
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of Capital Markets and is able to consistently apply knowledge to their existing role. Good communication skills both oral and written; including language skills.
  • A self-starter and highly organized with ability to perform multi-tasks, and to manage time under tight deadlines. Also, a team player and ability to work effectively with a geographically diverse and multi-cultural team
  • Well versed in Excel, PowerPoint and able to produce good quality promotional material (PowerPoint presentations, pre-meeting fact sheets etc.).
  • Fully maximize the use of Moody’s-permitted AI technology, tools and functions, and keep up with the changes in pursue of output excellence in efficient and effective manners.
  • Understand main financial instruments, key characteristics and dynamics of capital and credit markets in her or his market segment / territory.
  • Able to read financial statements to identify financial needs and understand the financial strategy of each firm.

Education

  • Minimum Undergraduate / First Level degree (or equivalent) preferably in finance, accounting, business or economics. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales support including Salesforce/billing contact data entry, pricing/method exception case, opportunity creation, application/side letter documentation.
  • Support Relationship Managers to coordinate outreach/communication with internal and external parties – e.g. issuer clients, intermediaries and other market participants, etc.
  • Prepare meeting materials – e.g. PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets and other market, territory, sector or other research materials for internal and external meeting purposes.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders e.g. associate peers, RMs, billing/collections team, legal, compliance and other control functions.
  • Provide information gathering, research support to the RMs for example collect data and documents for Request For Proposals/Tender responses.  
  • Support local compliance and regulatory reporting, collating necessary data and processing the required review process and managing the documentation and filing.
  • Monitor news on existing accounts, market development and trends including coverage information,  manage lead generation, identify targets and cross selling opportunities.
  • Provide support on presentation preparation, project coordination, regulatory tasks, marketing campaigns etc. as directed.
  • Assist facilitating cross-LOB/entity communications as well as DE&I/CSR, One Moody’s initiatives and other related social activities.  

About the Role/Team 
The Associate is a service-focused individual who provide business and operational support for Commercial responsibilities in business development and account management in Japan. 
Associate Relationship Management function will work closely with relationship managers supporting their sales activities to increase business development opportunities as well as maintaining key issuer client relationship.
