Associate Lead Analyst 1

Title: Associate Lead Analyst 1
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY, 10007, USA
Duties: Responsible for the analysis of the quantitative, structural, and credit aspects of CLOs and other structured credit transactions, publishable research, and special projects. Lead rating committees and offer analysis of potential credit impact of the terms of transaction documents. Interact with arrangers and other related parties of a transaction. Work closely with legal reviews in rating transactions. Model deal structures in accordance with indentures using CDOEdge and/or CDOROM software. Analyze legal documents, including reviewing indentures and management agreements for potential credit issues relevant to cash flow CLOs and similar transactions for the purpose of assigning ratings. Prepare rating committee memos and present rating recommendations to rating committees. Communicate with clients, including arrangers, issuers, and investors, and with outside legal experts. Write publishable research, including transaction-related reports, and articles on credit issues affecting industry. Participate in on-site operations reviews of issuers.
Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field plus two (2) years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Financial Associate, or in a related position. Must have experience with the following: applying knowledge of rating process and services, analyst workflow, compliance policies and procedures, and rating business regulatory requirements; leveraging programing skills such as Python or VBA to streamline analytical workflow, improve work efficiency, and analyze large data-sets for research projects; reviewing quantitative and qualitative assessments of financial documentation and economic/market data; reviewing research produced on specific issuers, general credit trends, or sector related issues; providing analytical oversight, including documenting and implementing workflow processes and conducting quality checks; performing project management; and conducting quantitative financial modeling and statistical analysis.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $107,765 to $194,850, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
