At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways.
If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.
We are seeking a strategic and client-focused Sales Executive to join our team, driving growth for Moody’s Compliance and Supplier Risk solutions within the Corporate sector. This role focuses on large accounts across Europe and Africa, with a primary emphasis on businesses headquartered in the Iberia region. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and sales colleagues to manage complex sales cycles, deliver tailored client guidance, and position Moody’s as a trusted partner in addressing regulatory and supplier risk challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed annual targets, aligned with Moody’s broader business objectives.
- Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to proposal development, client demos, and deal closure—across assigned territories.
- Provide strategic guidance to clients by leveraging deep product, market, and technical expertise, positioning Moody’s as a trusted advisor.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities across Moody’s portfolio and introduce relevant solutions into client conversations.
- Share market insights internally and externally to build awareness of Moody’s expertise and thought leadership.
- Act as a spokesperson for Moody’s at industry events and client engagements.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data, reporting regularly to management.
- Work with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities and lead execution of strategic plans.
- Build business cases, assess risk/reward trade-offs, and participate in commercial negotiations, while engaging with executive-level client contacts to diagnose challenges and recommend tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with Solution Specialists to deliver compelling, client-specific proposals and product demonstrations.
- Partner with Sales Development Representatives, Relationship Managers, and Business Development teams to drive coordinated activity across the region.
- This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 50% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience selling Compliance and Third-Party Risk data or software solutions that leverage this data.
- Familiarity with corporate use cases such as AML/KYC, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Export Controls & Sanctions Screening, Supplier Screening & Resilience, Master Data Management, and Sales & Marketing enablement.
- Bachelor’s degree required; minimum 7 years’ experience in a sales role, ideally at Associate Director level.
- Strong ability to present both high-level concepts and detailed product demonstrations.
- Demonstrated success in managing pipelines from lead generation to deal closure.
- Skilled in building and maintaining senior-level relationships, both internally and externally.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is essential; additional European languages are a plus.
