The position is part of the Moody’s Global Sales and Customer Service Group.
The Content Licensing Group ("CLG") covers the licensing of the usage of Moody’s Ratings as well as any other MA product to third-party data and service providers as well as distributors. The Content Licensing Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Moody’s Analytics clients base in the EMEA region for the Content Licensing Group. Clients include banks, insurers, asset managers, finance companies, government bodies and corporations as well as distributors and data aggregators. The CLG RM covers the licensing of the Moody’s Ratings as well as any other MA product to third-party data and service providers as well as distributors. The Content Licensing Relationship Manager is a sales executive responsible for the overall commercial success of MA in his or her territory.
Successful RMs create their own success by applying the following:
- Developing and executing on territory business plans
- Growing a Sales Renewable book to meet or exceed given business targets
- Organizing and running in-person client meetings as well as representing MA at industry events.
- Gaining and maintaining familiarity with client organization and processes to help direct them towards the appropriate license for MA products usage.
- Generating, qualifying and converting new leads through networking and prospecting and executing sales campaigns at existing accounts.
- Managing sales cycles using coordination and communication skills to involve sales specialists and management where appropriate. Executing strong negotiation skills and strategies to bring sales cycles to successful closure.
- Demonstrating the superiority and value of MA’s solutions to potential and existing clients.
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of industry practices in credit, risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Providing current sales forecasts and sales pipeline information to management on a regular basis.
- Introducing sales leads to other business units where appropriate.
- Making significant and regular travel to and within the territory as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience working within or selling into capital markets, banking and/or insurers. Financial data sales experience preferred but not necessary.
- Extensive sales and/or relationship management experience is required, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and able to influence key decision makers during the sales process.
- Degree educated (or equivalent), preferably gained in a finance, business or economics.
- Entrepreneurial style, drive and sense of urgency, coupled with the ability to work well with others as part of a solution team. Strong problem-solving and influencing skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision yet integrate appropriately with sales teams and other areas within MA when necessary.
- Strong interpersonal/relationship building skills and able to successfully manage multiple client relationships.
- Highly organised and good time management skills.
- Must have the motivation and ability to excel in an intense, high energy, selling environment.
- Must be fluent in English and French or German
- This role would suit an individual who has a proven track record performing against individual sales targets.
- An Moody's employee at the Associate Director level would typically have 7+ years experience in a sales role.
