At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are-with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways.

If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

The Role / Responsibilities:

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, results-oriented sales and relationship manager to grow Moody’s footprint across Italy’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 banks. This role owns the full commercial relationship - selling across the entire Moody’s suite, from credit research and climate to KYC/AML, regulatory reporting, data and analytics, SaaS workflow solutions, automation tools, and solutions to support banks’ digital transformation.
You will lead strategic account planning and client engagement across multiple stakeholders, acting as the trusted partner and primary point of contact for both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and expand relationships across Italy’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 banks, with strong engagement at C-level (CRO, CFO, CTO, Head of Compliance, etc.)
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting to negotiation and closing, collaborating with product specialist, product management and marketing teams.
  • Generate new revenue while maintaining and expanding existing client relationships to defend and grow recurring revenue streams.
  • Define multi-year account strategies, aligning Moody’s offerings with evolving client needs (e.g., automation, emerging risks and regulations, digital workflows..).
  • Translate market/regulatory trends (e.g., EBA, ECB, Basel III) into commercial opportunities and tailored client solutions.
  • Be the primary point of contact for clients across Moody’s full suite, orchestrating internal teams as needed.
  • Provide accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and internal reporting.
  • Represent Moody’s at industry events and communicate client feedback to help shape product strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory.
  • This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 50% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working.
  • Proven track record (7-10+ years) in B2B enterprise sales or strategic account management within financial services, ideally working with mid-size/regional banks.
  • Good understanding of credit risk, climate, KYC/AML, regulatory reporting or data, including credit models and corporate risk analysis.
  • Ability to build trust and drive action with C-level stakeholders in a consultative manner.
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and leading virtual account teams.
  • High levels of resilience, initiative, and ability to work independently in a matrix environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
