Skills and Competencies
- Experience: 5-15+ years of sales experience within Financial Services, and/or Corporates sector and/or Insurance & Brokers
- Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of Moody’s data estate and artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency.
- Interest in exploring AI systems and willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
- Sales Success: Proven success in driving year-over-year revenue growth through consultative sales of complex software, SaaS, or analytics solutions
- Communication: Experience communicating with gravitas at the C-Level, articulating compelling value propositions and building senior relationships within complex organizations
- Deal Management: Ability to forecast, negotiate, and close complex solution sales and enterprise-level agreements on a quarterly cycle, defending price and demonstrating value
- Conduct: High degree of professionalism, organization, and exceptional attention to detail
Education
At least a Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, marketing, or related fields is required
Responsibilities
- Drive new business with clients by mapping Moody's cutting-edge solutions to customer needs and creating a compelling buying vision.
- Execute a consultative sales process from opportunity identification through negotiation of license agreements to achieve annual sales goals.
- Focus on clients to drive gross new business and value for Moody’s and our clients.
- Deliver effective executive-level presentations that demonstrate compelling business use cases and a strategic partnership based on Moody’s unique value proposition.
- Develop detailed client-centric plans and nurture relationships with client decision-makers and key influencers.
- Partner with pre-sales, product, and services teams to introduce new solutions or develop custom solutions for specific client needs.
- Own the internal reporting for assigned clients, including maintaining an accurate account of opportunities in a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
- Position requires approximately 40% travel.
About the Team
The Sales Acceleration Task Force. This position is part of Moody’s newly created Sales Acceleration Task Force, a focused, highly skilled, cross-functional group assembled to build the foundations of Moody’s success in the Sales & Marketing business, in partnership with our current sales organization (RM/BDR), Sales Reps in the Task Force, and our Partners like Salesforce. Our mission is to harness Moody’s cutting-edge data estate and Generative AI capabilities to transform fragmented go-to-market processes into intelligent, data-driven workflows. By resolving foundational data challenges and enriching CRM systems, we empower our clients’ sales teams to identify high-value opportunities and deliver actionable insights.
