Skills & Competencies
- Minimum 5+ years of sales and/or relationship management experience, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Proven track record of sales capability, including closing deals effectively and timely.
- Proven track record of sales hunter.
- Strong understanding of financial institutions, with experience working within or selling into the sector.
- Excellent senior client stakeholder relationship-building, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Local market knowledge and senior stakeholder connections in APAC countries.
- Good to have: Credit or capital markets background.
Note: candidates with more experience may be considered for Director levels.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required. Specialization is not necessary, but candidates with knowledge/experience in banking, economics, risk, or finance will have an advantage.
Responsibilities
As a Relationship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Moody’s Analytics’ client base and increasing product penetration across Southeast Asia. You will manage senior-level client relationships, drive sales strategies, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver Moody’s solutions for enterprise-wide adoption.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and manage relationships for a defined portfolio of clients, including Tier 1 foreign banks. Collaborate with regional counterparts to ensure cohesive planning and execution.
- Retain and grow existing revenue streams by identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling Moody’s suite of solutions and finding new logos, carry out both hunter and farmer sales activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders, including C-suite and Board-level executives.
- Define and execute portfolio business plans, lead contract negotiations, and drive the sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
- Work closely with Sales Reps, Solutions Specialists, Finance, and Legal teams to articulate Moody’s value proposition and meet client needs.
- Gain deep familiarity with client organizations and processes to recommend tailored solutions.
- Meet sales targets for both new and recurring revenue streams, ensuring robust pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region up to 50% of the time.
