Title: Associate Director - Data Quality

Location: 405 Howard Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94105

Duties: Design, develop, document, and perform data quality checks and maintain data quality assurance for banking data lake analytic and insight data products. Work in conjunction with Data Engineers and BI Engineers to model, calculate and track data quality performance and results. Write SQL and other reports to evaluate and analysis data content at platform levels. Analyze incoming data feeds for completeness, content, and data expectation. Identify trends and analysis for data quality over time. Create data quality dashboards to provide visibility of data quality metrics and trend. Analyze data content and identify gaps in metadata/reference data and standardizations. Champion to promote standardization and consistency of data assets management. Work with members of the Data Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to understand content and quality of data required to support production deliveries. Develop and design quality solutions by studying requirements, studying flow, data usage, and work processes. Collaborate with engineering team to design and implement alert mechanisms for system issues, data quality issues, data receipt and completeness based on expected calendars and schedules. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a QA Analyst, QA Engineer, or in a related IT position working in data analytics (data wrangling, integration, and visualization). Must have experience with the following: using SQL or NOSQL databases for a production environment; performing python scripting for testing and automating processes; applying knowledge of QA framework, such as Robot Framework; analyzing information, reporting/dashboard creation, following data quality best practices, and applying programming skills and software development fundamentals; interacting with business partners and data engineers to understand data needs, ETL practices, and data models; working with unstructured datasets and performing datasets quality check; applying knowledge of complex structured or unstructured datasets and their relationships to find issues; performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes; applying knowledge of CI/CD process and systems, and working with BI tools, AWS, and microservices; and working in a SaaS production environment. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $186,846 to $215,900, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
