The CnG Data Analytics team partners across the organization to provide data-driven insights and support regulatory, operational, and customer-focused products. As an Associate Data Analyst, you'll work with large datasets, modern data tools, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful analysis and reporting.
This role is ideal for someone early in their data career who is comfortable working independently, communicates clearly, and is eager to grow their skills using tools like SQL, DBT, Databricks, PySpark, and Power BI/Tableau.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Build and enhance DBT data models to support reliable, scalable analytics
- Use Databricks and PySpark to explore, clean, and analyze large datasets
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau
- Validate data outputs, document data lineage, and ensure overall data quality
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams on ongoing initiatives
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactively manage tasks and follow through with minimal supervision
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases
- Hands-on experience with DBT for data modeling (even in an academic or project setting)
- Familiarity with Databricks and PySpark for large-scale data processing
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis or a similar role
- Experience working in a cloud-based data environment (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working or product-centric teams
- Understanding of data governance, lineage, and quality best practices
