Skills and Competencies

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in Accounting, Auditing, or Billing required.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Demonstrates strong critical thinking and sound judgment, effectively articulating perspectives, analyzing problems, and proactively identifying solutions.
• Results-oriented with a sense of urgency; proven ability to overcome obstacles and resolve issues effectively.

Education

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other business discipline.

Responsibilities

The Associate is expected to support the Customer Billing Mission Statement. This role will need to acquire Subject matter expertise with a thorough understanding of complex business concepts, products, and business rules (e.g. fee agreements, pricing requirements).  Under the supervision of the Customer Billing Leadership, the Associate is expected  to support BAU activities as well as  contributing  to process improvements and ad-hoc tasks. The role is primarily focused on supporting the global team on processing of invoicing and accrual activities while also maintaining our secure control environment. The role works closely across departments in the Finance , Commercial and GMO Organizations.

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of invoices while adhering to revenue SOX control requirements.
• Build subject matter expertise to effectively support invoicing tasks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Commercial and Finance teams) to deliver high-quality invoicing services to external customers.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of rating products, fee schedules, and relevant applications.
• Execute key control functions accurately and on time to maintain compliance.
• Support team goals and regularly communicate progress.

About the team

The Customer Billing team is responsible to deliver a high-quality invoicing service to MIS customers and provide key business partners with the data needed to develop successful strategies. The function has direct impacts on the organization’s financial results, including revenue recognition, regulatory/ financial reporting. The role is primarily focused on supporting the global team on processing of invoicing and accrual activities while also maintaining our secure control environment. The role works closely across departments in the Finance, Commercial, and GMO Organizations.
