The Associate Account Manager role focuses on supporting the MA Insurance Solutions sales team to deliver client business development and commercial goals. Key responsibilities include assisting throughout the sales cycle, enhancing client engagement, and optimising renewal processes while mitigating attrition. The role requires effective collaboration with sales colleagues, wider MA peers and external stakeholders.
Individual targets focus on client retention and more broadly partnering with the sales team to exceed team and business unit goals. Building a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, client use of Moody’s products, and pricing compared to peers. As the Associate Account Manager you will work closely with Workflow Specialists, Relationship Managers, Industry Leads, and Solution Specialists to support key sales activities such as:
- Optimising renewals by following best practices for timely contract execution, identifying high-risk cases, and providing aligned renewal pricing.
- Developing upsell and cross-sell opportunities, moving sales forward through internal coordination, and communicating early roadblocks.
- Managing SFDC: updating accounts/contacts, creating opportunities, building quotes, obtaining approvals, and reporting forecasts.
- Preparing meetings using GenAI to summarise recent events and Moody’s client activity, and briefing attendees on objectives.
- Coordinating with Customer Success and stakeholders to assess account health and support product implementation.
- Partnering with Sales Operations and Product Management for seamless client lifecycle support.
- Reviewing contracts for compliance and suitability.
- This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) required, preferably with coursework in business, economics, finance, marketing or related fields, or up to 2 years professional experience in sales, sales operations and/or customer success roles.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and organise high-velocity competing workflows.
- Ability to present high-level information as well as detailed demonstrations of products & services.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills in English.
- Fluency in an additional European language is beneficial.
