Title: Assc Dir Mgr - Software Engineer

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Develop data production systems using AWS related services including glue, lambda and step functions. Review the most complex user stories and develop solutions that are simple to build and operate. Perform technical reviews and support management in continuously increase the capabilities of the team. Collaborate with the recruiting team to make sure to hire superb engineering talent. Share best practices and learnings with the broader engineering group to accelerate the collective capability and maturity of our engineering. Oversee and guide team in creating common reusable Python components for data pipelines. Use Open AI to find solutions for difficult problems, integrate as Open AI apis as code review process. Help team resolve complex issues in code and in data pipelines. Understand existing legacy infrastructure based on EC2 and SQL and create solution based on AWS Step-functions, Glue job and SNS message bus. Conduct architecture discussion meeting with team to go over latest technology and review what new technology can be used for future projects. Help team resolve issues related to Github, AWS automation, Lambda and Glue. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant or in a related IT position. Must have experience with the following: performing software development and designing technical solutions; providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments; applying knowledge of multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment; working with Linux, Windows, Jira, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, Docker, Python, and automated testing tools; using build tools and version control systems, including GIT, Circle CI, SNS, SQS, Step Functions and Event Bridge; and Database experience including Redshift, SQL, Aurora, or Snowflake. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.). Domestic and international travel required approximately 15% - 20% of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $179,982 - $230,850/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
