The Department / Team

As part of Banking Solutions OU, our Risk and Finance solutions help clients solve business problems related to Risk Management and Finance & Planning. These interconnected solutions include software, data, and analytics; and the unique breadth of our solutions enables clients to answer questions they would otherwise be unable to.

The Role / Summary:

  • Moody’s Delivery Management / Technology Program Management role definition is to support teamwork by managing group progress, including scheduling, prioritizing, expectation setting, and cost management for projects related to product development and system improvements.

  • You will take the lead in delivery management within the Banking Risk and Finance Solutions, PortfolioStudio activities. Working with different teams, you will study and assess the existing governance and enhance the collaboration framework for more effective program management.

  • You will also manage strategic/special programs and projects that may require coordination across Banking Operating Unit and/or other Operating Units.


  • Guide annual product roadmap development and quarterly and monthly update process

  • Publish and maintain annual roadmap Excel file with macro-features and estimates organized by theme/big rock

  • Share regular business review updates on a quarterly basis and circulate them to relevant individuals.

  • Share monthly performance updates and development progress for each macro-feature.

  • Shepherd release process to support delivery of planned scope, tracking progress and providing transparent updates as necessary

  • Insure development team remains focused on the highest priority work, with an emphasis on delivery of working software as the primary measure of progress

  • Increase product development productivity by driving focus towards strategic objectives and eliminating waste

  • As the product development process evolves, move to focus less on operation guidance and more on strategic objectives

  • Identify and document areas where the team should deliberately stop work, in order to promote longer-term convergence or efficiency

  • Coach teams on agile principles and practices

  • Improve team communication and collaboration, both within Risk and Finance product development teams, and with outside teams

  • Lead or participate in synchronization meetings with Banking Technology Solutions and DevOps for topics relevant to product development

  • Surface dependencies and associated risks and develop mitigation strategies as appropriate

  • Expand program management knowledge base and contribute towards the Program Management community of practices


The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience in the Industry and Professional areas outlined below.

  • 10+ working years (or equivalent) of relevant work experience in Project or Program Management, Delivery Management and Operations, with knowledge of various project/program management methodologies and ideally an industry recognized qualification, e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, MSP

  • Proficient in Project Lifecycle. Proven track record of successfully working on program/large projects' delivery/critical initiatives.

  • Good verbal and written communications skills in English and French

  • Good analytical and diagnostic skills as well as attention to detail

  • Strong coordination skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams

  • Effective communication and collaboration with individuals involved in the project

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Flexibility in dealing with various roles in the organization

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

  • Working experience with Collaboration Tools (SharePoint, Confluence, JIRA, etc)
